A Call to Conversation (1)--with =abstract1106
Welcome to my first article focusing on getting to know the deviants behind the artwork! This will be posted every Wednesday. If you have a deviant you'd like to see included, please send betwixtthepages (https://www.deviantart.com/betwixtthepages) a note with the subject "Call to Conversation"--make sure to include the deviant's name as well as a reason you think they'd make a good interview subject! Also, feel free to send along a question or two you'd like to have answered by them!
This week's featured deviant is RipleyNox (https://www.deviantart.com/ripleynox). I took a small biography from her deviantID to use here as a sort of mini-introduction-- I'm a problogger and online content consultant. I interview
The beauty of Daily Deviations is that they can be suggested by all members of the Deviantart community, including you!
To put forward a suggestion, just compose a new note addressed to one of the Lit CVs. Please note just ONE CV as multiple notes tend to create confusion.
If you're stumped on which CV to send in your suggestions to, you can check out their preferences which are stated in their profiles.
Before you Suggest
Having found the perfect piece of writing for a DD (maybe even with the help of this guide), there are a few things you should check before making your suggestion.:bulletblack: If the author has used a preview image, plea

Untitled is just a synonym for lazy.
Well, the color poem form I introduced to dA was a rousing success, but interest of late seems to have died down. So I'm back with a new form for you all, something exciting and new, something different, something that I will probably make into a contest once I get some points in the bank. You ready?
EDIT
There's a group now - feel free to head over to TheTitlePage (https://www.deviantart.com/thetitlepage)! We're still in set-up mode, so excuse the plainness for now.
Found Poetry Project - Titles as Art
One of my favorite things about the creative process is coming up with a good title. The title can make or break a piece; it can give context not provided in the piece itself,

Hello All and Welcome to 2013!
:new: Not that many people have picked up on this yet! Come on guys, lets get involved :D
(Original Gif too trippy for words!)
I hope everyone had a lovely break and are fully in the swing of the New Year!
Now this journal isn't a personal one, despite the title- in fact it is a journal I am challenging all of you to write and all of you to help others write. At this time of year, we've made resolutions and I expect half of you have included "write more" as one of those resolutions. This experiment is to help you fulfil that resolution so by 2014 you are sat here feeling achieved.

Q: What do you guys think of my story so far? Should I keep going?
This seems to be a very popular question. I'll argue it's a useless question, and explain why.
This reply is directed at new writers, and despite the tone that may follow, I really do intend to be sincere and helpful. I was once a newbie, too. And although I'm certainly not going to claim to be great, I've fallen flat on my face enough times to learn how to pick myself up and produce something I'm proud of.
Here's why you need to not ask this question. You're either going to succeed, or you're going to fail. But, either way, you'll be better off for hav
A Hunt For Literature (with 2400 Points) by Nichrysalis, journal
A Hunt For Literature (with 2400 Points)
The new year is upon us, and what better way to start 2013 than by discovering new literature?
The Challenge
During the week of Jan 7, CRLiterature (https://www.deviantart.com/crliterature) will be hosting a literature scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is typically defined as a game played in an extensive outdoor area, in which participants have to collect a number of miscellaneous objects. Our scavenger hunt will be played in the Literature gallery here on deviantART and will have deviants searching high and low for literature deviations that match the items on the list for the hunt. Have I mentioned there's a total of 60 deviations to be found (20 poetry, 20 Prose, 5 Script,
YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT
In celebration of surviving past 2012 - as I hope we all will - I announce the:
Glory Be! Project
Here's the deal: I pledge to write a (SHORT) poem every day next year. And you will, too. Wow that sounds way worse than it is. The idea is to write something every day. Now before you decide to stop reading, obviously, 365 days in a row is a bit much to ask, but you can do... 320 at least, right? I know I can.
Now, you're probably thinking, "define poem" or "I can't write a WHOLE poem, no matter how short every day" - I'm talking about haiku, twitter poems, fragments, six word story, etc. I
I had the incredible honor to have *disrhythmic http://disrhythmic.deviantart.com/journal/Elocutionists-Update-340123891 record one of my poems on #Elocutionists http://elocutionists.deviantart.com/. What a beautiful treat. Her voice is so magnificent, it really brings "Ishtar Retrograding" to life. I never felt particularly proud about this piece but now I love it more than ever.

Thank you so much *disrhythmic!
Lately there seem to have been a few myths flying around in particular with regards to how we as Community Volunteers, give Daily Deviations. Many people seem to think that we sit at our desks in dark little rooms and let out evil laughter whilst we purposefully feature stolen work. The dark rooms and laughter - well I can't say yes or no on that one! But I can promise you it's not our intent to give exposure to people who have stolen work. I recently featured a piece of work that turned out to be stolen. However I went into extensive conversations with the artist before I featured it, and with added metadata and dates, it's difficult to know
god sits us down and is like
'here's the path you should have taken'
'you dumb fuck ass bitches'
and he points out what we should have done and who we should have dated
and then we get a total score
like, it could have been worse or better
and our score is based on that
and based on our score we get points
and then we can spend those points on things in the heaven gift shop
and the most expensive thing we can buy is to be a ghost
so all those people thinking they are seeing scary ghosts
they're just loved ones
that spent all their heaven points
